Obsessive Compulsive Anxiety Disorder

Obsessive compulsive anxiety disorder (OCD) is one of the most well known disorders in the anxiety family. You'll see it in movies, on television, and in the newspaper. People will joke that they have "OCD" when it comes to things like making a house clean or keeping their clothes in a special order. Unfortunately, that really isn't even close to what people with the disorder truly go through.

Those that suffer from OCD feel an overwhelming amount of anxiety when it comes to things that are seemingly unimportant to others. The fact of the matter, though, is that those suffering from the disorder know what's going on, and feel very upset and aggravated when they feel like they can't control their specific urge. That's why it's really insensitive to say, "I'm OCD because I have to have my house clean."

It's not even close.

In fact, women are more likely to make a comment like that, but in reality both men and women suffer from the disorder equally. In addition to that, it only affects under 5% of the world.

In reality, people that suffer from obsessive compulsive anxiety are concerned about contamination - germs, disease, and filth. They're paralyzed by things that multiple people touch, such as doorknobs, faucets, and the floor. I can see how horrible that would be to constantly worry about those things. If you really think about it, there is a lot of filth out there. Most people just learn to ignore it and not worry too much about it. However, people with and OCD complex can't get past that.

Another thing that commonly bothers those how suffer from the disorder is the fear of loss. Whether you'd be afraid to lose a loved one or friends or a combination of those, you'd be constantly worried and panicking. It's a serious issue, but like other types of disorders, it stems from a certain point that physicians have figured out. They know where it starts and that's precisely why they can develop medications and drugs to help combat it.

Of course, qualified physicians have also learned ways to combat different types of anxiety and panic disorders without using prescriptions and medications - these are the real cures in my opinion. They don't require you to pay money each month nor do they have side effects. That's why I review the different programs. So you will know which are effective and which aren't.
