Physical Symptoms of Anxiety

What are some of the physical symptoms of anxiety? There are several, and with each person they're manifested in different ways. You might be someone who suffers from a burning chest pain, or you might struggle to breathe. Whatever the case, you need to be ready to do something when you're struck with it. It really helps to know what to expect as well, so I commend you for coming here and reading this.

Basically, you're going to need to remember the different treatments and techniques I've discussed in different parts on this site. You want to be able to control your breathing, which I realize is very difficult if abnormal breathing spouts are part of your panic attacks. But by really focusing on something positive, something that you care deeply about and saying calming words as you breathe in and out, you'll be able to keep it under control.

Other symptoms of anxiety that are physically apparent are sweating profusely. Now, this is something that happens to everyone when they get nervous. They perspire from the forehead and their hands. However, if you are becoming drenched in your sweat, then it's likely you're suffering from some form of anxiety.

Another common symptom is dizziness or headaches. They can also come out in the form of migraines or splotchy vision. The important thing to do is sit down if you can and focus on your breathing. Imagining yourself in your safe, happy place and drinking a cool glass of water always helps as well. You basically have to make a promise to yourself that you're going to face these panic attacks head on. Don't be afraid, believe in yourself.

As always, I highly recommend seeing a qualified physician if you're experiencing these things. They may be the cause of anxiety or panic attacks, but they may be from something different entirely. You don't want to take any risks. Life is too short, and there are a lot of people out there that need you around, whether you know it or not. Whatever happens though, keeping a positive attitude and knowing that it will get better is the best thing you can do for yourself. No one can take that away from you.
